Why CPD Matters
Our dedication to continual professional development (CPD) ensures that our team remains dynamic, knowledgeable, and ready to support entrepreneurs with excellence. By continuously learning, improving, and adapting, we strengthen our ability to champion innovation, foster growth, and build a thriving business community.
CPD isn’t just a practice—it’s a mindset. It allows us to deliver with passion, integrity, and excellence every day.
Learning in Action
Since April, our team has participated in several workshops, including Photography in Business, AI for Business, and a series of Health, Safety and Wellbeing courses.

But learning doesn’t stop with one-off training—we believe in long-term development. Team members are also pursuing qualifications to deepen their expertise:
Leadership & Management: Enterprise Officer Emma Duffy is currently completing her ILM in Leadership and Management with NRC. Reflecting on her experience, she shares:
Completing the ILM has significantly enhanced my ability to lead with clarity, adapt under pressure, and inspire confidence—qualities essential for delivering successful events and advising new business owners. It has strengthened my strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making, enabling me to manage complex projects while also supporting others in their business journeys.

Event Management: Hub Co-Ordinators Margarida Pereira and Shannon Quigley are advancing their skills through the Level 2 Event Management course at NRC.

Margarida values the course for its in-depth look at event planning, saying:
“It has helped me consider every nuance and detail involved in organizing a successful event and managing unexpected circumstances.”
Meanwhile, Shannon appreciates the opportunity to return to education, sharing:
“What I’ve learned in this course will be invaluable in supporting future events at Antrim Enterprise.”
