Antrim Enterprise has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting people and building a positive local business community by becoming an accredited Real Living Wage employer.

Putting staff wellbeing at the heart of everything it does, the organisation described accreditation as both a straightforward process and an easy decision, reflecting its core values and belief that every team member deserves a wage that genuinely meets the cost of living. As an accredited employer, Antrim Enterprise ensures that all directly and indirectly employed staff are paid the Real Living Wage.

The accreditation is supported through Living Wage NI, funded by the Living Wage Foundation and the Department for the Economy, which works to raise awareness of the Real Living Wage and encourage employers across Northern Ireland to sign up.

Unlike the National Living Wage, the Real Living Wage is independently calculated by the Resolution Foundation for the Living Wage Foundation and is based on what people need to get by. It is paid to everyone aged 18 and over and currently stands at £13.45 per hour across the UK and £14.80 in London.

By achieving accreditation, Antrim Enterprise continues to lead by example, championing fair pay and contributing to a stronger, more supportive business environment across Northern Ireland.  Endorsing the accreditation, CEO Jennifer McWilliams explained:
