After dealing with some personal issues I decided to get my life back on track. I had always been good with my hands and had previously worked as a labourer with my brother so decided now was the time to start my own handyman business.
Over the first lockdown period I was looking after the children and applying for jobs non stop but was never successful in securing the job despite coming close on so many occasions. I knew that I still wanted to do something for myself so took the plunge and made the call and have never looked back.

It was the foundation that I so needed to get started and work from. It helped me to understand the things that I did not know and build up my self esteem and belief in myself that I could do this and since then I have not looked back.
My key achievements from the Programme
My biggest achievement is in how my confidence has grown since starting. Knowing that people have put their trust in me to carry out the work has been so rewarding.
The fact that all my jobs to date have come from word of mouth has helped with this as well and has made it so worthwhile.
I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into but now that I know and I am actually running my own business, I'm enjoying every minute.
