Exploring Enterprise2 Programme

Antrim Enterprise Agency is the local delivery agent for the Exploring Enterprise2 Programme in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council areas.

This is a FREE programme aimed at helping people into sustainable employment or self employment through the achievement of QCF qualification Level 2 in Understanding Business Enterprise.

Who is eligible?

* over 16

* economically inactive/unemployed

* individuals on incapacity benefit or severe disablement allowance (including Steps to Work)

* working less than 16 hours per week

* in education less than 16 hours per week

* individuals made redundant

* home makers

* retired

* carers

Programme content

* Initial assessment to discuss key areas of need

* 2 workshops: confidence building and ideas generation

* 5 core training modules covering key market areas: business enterprise, marketing, planning, legalities, finance

* Employability support: CV preparation, Interview techniques, assessment techniques, job searches

* One to one mentoring

* Post assessment: identifying next step and actions required
